  1. Alberta Art Gallery Art gallery featuring lots of paintings, sculptures, videos, and more.
  2. Alberta Aviation Museum Indoor museum about the history of airplanes in Alberta. See real restored airplanes from World War I-era biplanes to modern fighter jets.
  3. *Alberta Legislature The home of Alberta’s Legislative Assembly (government), the Legislature building is more than 100 years old. Explore the old building and the pools, sculptures, and park areas around this historic site.
  4. *Big Al’s Aquarium Super Center Aquarium shop where you can look at lots of tropical fish, turtles, iguanas, lizards, and even stingrays!
  5. *Buena Vista Dog Park Leafy green off-leash dog park with access to Edmonton’s River Valley.
  6. *Clifford E. Lee Nature Reserve Outdoor nature preserve with ducks, geese, birds, and other wildlife to see.
  7. Edmonton Corn Maze An outdoor corn maze, in which you solve riddles to find your way through the maze. You can choose the level of difficulty. Pumpkins and sunflowers are seasonally available as well!
  8. *Edmonton Downtown Farmer’s Market Indoor farmer’s market located in Downtown Edmonton where you can look at and buy fresh food from local farmers, as well as products made in Edmonton such as baked goods, soaps, art, candles, etc.
  9. *Edmonton Public Libraries If you’ve previously reserved books, audio books, or movies, at www.epl.ca, you may be able pick them up at one of four locations across the city.
  10. Edmonton Valley Zoo A mostly outdoor zoo, which is home to wonderful animals such as elephants, owls, tigers, penguins, and more.
  1. *Enjoy CentreIndoor glass building containing a large greenhouse with lots of flowers, pop-up shops, and health and wellness boutiques. Feel like you are outdoors when you are inside!
  2. Happy Acres U-Pick7-acre farm where you pick and harvest, and purchase your own fruits and vegetables, such as berries, cherries, carrots, right from the tree (or ground!) Also available is a farm animal viewing location and garden center.
  3. Little Italy Walk along Edmonton’s culturally Italian 95th Street and take in the sights of Italian cafés and shops, outdoor patios, and Giovanni Caboto park. Maybe stop by for a gelato (to go) at Spinelli’s or walk in to Zocalo’s to explore some stunning plants and pottery.
  4. *Louise McKinney Riverside Park hello Walkable park in Downtown Edmonton with a peaceful Chinese garden and beautiful views of the river valley.
  5. *Neon Sign Museum Walk along Edmonton’s historic 104 Street and see a brilliant collection of bright neon signs from Edmonton’s past.
  6. *Old Strathcona Farmer’s Market Indoor Farmer’s market with produce, crafts, and other local products such as soap, homemade candy, etc.
  7. Royal Alberta Museum Large museum with diverse exhibits such as history, dinosaurs, nature, rocks and gems, insects, etc.
  8. *St. Albert Botanic Park Stunning 5 acre botanic park with features such as a rose garden, vegetable patch, fountains, and more.
  9. Telus World of Science Science museum with a featured exhibit about the science behind “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” – the most unbelievable scientific mysteries.
  10. University of Alberta Botanic Gardens Beautiful outdoor botanic garden, with a Japanese garden, rose garden, fountains, and many more scenes of nature to enjoy.
  11. Ukrainian Cultural Heritage VillageLiving outdoor history museum, with costumed interpreters (actors) and historical buildings. Take a step back in time and explore the history of Ukrainian settlers in Alberta.
  12. *Victoria Promenade (100 Avenue Walking Path) Beautiful walking path lined with statues and flower-filled trees, featuring an amazing view of the Edmonton River Valley and access to some of Edmonton’s most notable historic buildings, such as the LeMarchand Mansion (11523 100 Avenue) and the Anamoe Mansion (11950 – 100 )
  1. *Whyte Avenue Art Walk Walk through Edmonton’s vibrant Whyte Avenue and see an open-air gallery of art made by Edmonton’s most talented local artists. The art is located behind the glass walls of the shops on Whyte Avenue.
  2. *William Hawrelak Park Natural park with a pond, geese/ducks in the summer and spring. Perfect location to walk around in the sun, play frisbee or other outdoor games, and/or and enjoy nature.
